Installing on Windows Laptop - Sc00by - Feb 10, 2016 Hello Looking to Dual Boot OS X El Capitan on my Dell laptop. Is there any way to obtain the operating system other than downloading it via the Mac App Store? I don't have full access to a Mac laptop at the moment so I can't download it atm. I just need it to create a bootable USB drive. * - ur girls daddy - Feb 10, 2016 Not too sure about El Capitan, but I know Yosemite works from here http://www.hackintosh.zone/ * - lmorra - Feb 10, 2016 You can probably find it online but I think it's pretty difficult to make a hackintosh without having access to a Mac cause you'll need it to properly format the installation USB drive. * - FkN Alex - Feb 10, 2016 (Feb 10, 2016 02:21 PM)SuperBoo Wrote: You can probably find it online but I think it's pretty difficult to make a hackintosh without having access to a Mac cause you'll need it to properly format the installation USB drive. its not hard, theres a trial for a tool to use, you need to do snow leopard first tho cause yosemite is a picky shit, basically look for the tut for snow leopard usb on windows and install snow leopard then use the mac store on the install to upgrade to el captain * - PloxSource - Feb 15, 2016 I turned my PC into El Capitan. On one HDD I have Windows 10 and the other El Capitan. Download VirtualBox, download a MAC iso and download El Capitan from the app store through there. I installed mine Vanilla wise instead of using a Distro. Search up TonyMac or MacBreaker. (TonyMac is what I recommend). You'll need a USB Stick and it's best if you have two HDD's * - Jamdoog - Feb 17, 2016 Build a VM of Mac OS then follow some tutorials on YouTube for how to get a iso... I have a El Capitan VM... Bootloader is required for using App Store etc so it might mess up your PC... I would link my post on se7ensins but I cant. I would red omens going there though, you will learn a lot. * - Sc00by - Feb 17, 2016 (Feb 17, 2016 08:17 AM)Jamdoog Wrote: Build a VM of Mac OS then follow some tutorials on YouTube for how to get a iso...
