What Windows Phone app for securing 2-fac Auth? - Pharmacist - Feb 10, 2016 Went to change my username and my password was wrong and I didn't change it, so I reset my password and now I want to enable 2-factor auth just in-case someone's trying to access my account. I'm using a Windows 8 Phone, I'd like to be able to backup the Auth code in-case the phone breaks and I need to recover it. Any ideas? š¤ * - Junx - Feb 10, 2016 https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/store/apps/authenticator/9wzdncrfj3rj * - Pharmacist - Feb 10, 2016 (Feb 10, 2016 11:42 AM)Junx Wrote: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/store/apps/authenticator/9wzdncrfj3rj But I don't see where it says that It backs up the code. I could use any number of apps, but If the phone breaks I need to be able to recover it. * - iLogic⢠- Feb 10, 2016 I've got same question - https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5145237 (Feb 10, 2016 11:45 AM)Align Wrote: But I don't see where it says that It backs up the code. There is no other 2fa application for windows phone. Microsoft authenticator doesn't provide backup option. Sorry. * - Bluffer - Feb 11, 2016 Authy has a website that you can make an account on and do it all from your browser (I think!) https://www.authy.com/ Edit: It's a browser add-on should work on windows phone though! Direct Link: https://www.authy.com/app/desktop/ * - Light - Feb 11, 2016 You could use Authy on the windows phone. So far, any type of device I can think of is compatible for usage with Authy. |
