AI - Unofficial group - Mr. Robot - Mr. Robot - Feb 17, 2016

Welcome to my new unofficial group based around Artificial Intelligence, we are a group of people who are focused on the research and development of AI.

[Image: 6yURjOj.png]

We will be primarily working with Raspberry Pi's and if you can't afford one, and prove that you are willing to learn and help, I will fund one for you.
I have a tonne done already including pulling resources and calculating responses - voice to text then the AI responds, visual recognition done and working on adding a databank for collective "thought".
I want this project to be something hackforums users can be proud of.

Working on a website currently - Also working on an animated interface such as the image above for voice response.

I have been working on this for a long time and hope we can make something better!

Application:
Skype/Xmpp/Other - means of contact:
Coding languages:
Previous experience or desire to work on something like this?
Will you be active?
Do you own a Pi?

If anyone feels like creating a signature or wish to help with creating a website for the group, that would be absolutely amazing.
Also a visual interface for the AI will be created at a later date if you are versed in animating text to speech.

Pretty cool topic for a group, I wish you the best with it.

Thanks man, hoping to develop something that hackforums as a community can be proud of and people can say - Hackforums members/users developed that.

I've always been interested in AI programs.
Afraid I don't have time to put into it now though.
I wish you the best of luck with the group bro :)

Really interesting group. I look forward to seeing what you guy's come up with.

* - BeNT- - Feb 17, 2016

Wow seems Like an awesome project man.
I may be interested in helping out with this (if I can) in the coming weeks.
Either way good luck with the project!
Cheers
B.

Cool group bro, I don't know coding languages much. Good luck.

* - problems.x - Feb 17, 2016

Buy me a raspberry PI and i'm in fam <3 u got my skype already homie

* - Deany - Feb 18, 2016

When is this going to be official?

* - DARPA - Feb 18, 2016

I always figured that in the near future we will be using holographic user interface. The logistics of such a feat however...

* - crazyycast13 - Feb 18, 2016

Uh... I hope you realize that AI requires university level understanding of coding theory, it's insanely hard to be self taught. If you are really interested in things like this, see if you can work under a professor who studies AI.

* - WOLGA - Feb 18, 2016

Do you have any experience in AI? Have you any progress? What is your ultimate goal?

Thanks for your input - I have studied this for a long time now and I believe with the right group of minds and creativity, we can use this as a learning curve and adventure through which we might succeed in creating something self aware or just end up creating something absolutely amazing as far as artificial intelligence goes.

Creating a self aware AI has not only been a struggle, but a debate on whether something like that could even exist, creating something run on algorithms and pattern recognition is definitely possible and that's what we are aiming to create.

I hope this clears any confusion.

I mean, if we were to find a way to make it self aware ( lol ) then we would of course have created something not only awesome but revolutionary.

What is your experience in AI, and what progress have you made?

Have a read through this :)

Progress is written above in short, wont discuss the full details of what I have completed so far as it may cause some confusion.
I worked on robotics for almost 2 years at MIT ( Was never that great at it ) just over 5 years ago now, have recently been encouraged to pick up an old project and continue with it as I have around 10 hours of spare time a day for the next 6-12 months.

My experience in artificial intelligence only reaches as far as a 4 months course by a man named Professor Norvig, this was all theory and what had already been accomplished.

I wish to share with the group my current knowledge to help get the ball rolling with ideas and create a new kind of AI besides the automation of cars and traffic systems.
