Can someone test this file some kid sent me? Reply below and i'll send you it. I'm not sure what it is.

Just decompile it. JAR files are Java archives. Java bytecode needs to be accessible so the JVM can read it.
This one is good.

If you think it's a virus or anything just scan the file on virus total well unless he Crypted the file then your going to have to do a lot harder stuff

You can't scan .jar files.

Of course you can. You can also scan ZIP files. And a JAR is nothing else.
