Story:
I bought 4 Amazon Gift cards off him.
3x$500 - AGC
1x$150 AGC

Total payments I made to him:
$330 in BTC for $500 AGC
$330 in BTC for $500 AGC
$325 in BTC for $500 AGC
$100 for $150 AGC

According to him his cards were legally obtained. He also sent me photos of cards.
I wanted to build PC for myself so that's why I bought that much AGC's off him. Everything went smoothly. Yesterday I got email from Amazon saying:

I sent him message regarding this and I told him that I will talk with Amazon regarding this. I made new account on Amazon
I went to live chat and also informed him. Live chat representative asked me for my details and told me I will get a call within 24 hours. I got call: [Image: mIFeviJ.jpg]
Talked with their representative. I told him I got an email saying my account has been closed because I used invalid gift cards? He replied: Some of the cards that were redeemed on your account was purchased via Fraudulent credit card. I told him I didn't use any fraudulent credit card and stuff but he reply was same. I asked him is there anything that can be done? His reply was simple and clear: Nothing can be done and Never use Amazon again. I asked him If I can talk with a supervisor? He replied: Yes you can but his reply will be same too. I told him okay I want to talk with a supervisor. After trying my best his reply was also same. In last I asked him may I know sir amount of gift cards that caused this? We got 3 fraudulent credit card payments. Each worth $500. I asked him again is there any hope sir? He said no!

They cancelled all my orders and I can't even access my account because they closed me completely.

I work for Amazon in California, and I'll let you know this happens a lot. People claim gift cards that are working yes but the person who buys them charges back or uses stolen credit cards to buy them to only have them cancelled a few days later when the bank cancels the transactions. There is nothing Amazon will do, because you aren't suppose to be doing that in the first place. People get red flagged for tons of shit, no warnings are sent out but it does log in the system. Invalid returns, keep saying you never got an item and all that is logged and will come back to you one day or another so it's best you just not try stuff like that on because trust me you aren't the first nor the last to do it.

Now about the guy, that was a dick move that's why it's hard to trust anyone online these days. I highly recommend not buying gift cards for online shopping from other people because they will come back at you if the other person who you bought it from is lying or using stolen cards to buy those gift cards.

As they say, never risk currency exchanging with people on forums.

Especially AGC <-> BTC. It's really dumb. The person selling AGC, might as well buy items from amazon like macbooks, then sell it for 10% less price and make cash that way. They don't cuz they wanna scam. Then with that cash, they could easily get BTC..

ONly do things like btc -> btc or ltc. u know what i mean.

Any unverified currency dealing online is a BIG NO. ESPECIALLY on forums with people who are 13.

I just don't understand why people don't use middleman services.. Pfff

Sorry to hear this OP!

There are 100's of successful exchanges (I guess every week), just because a few of them go wrong doesn't mean that they shouldn't take place at all. You just have to accept the risk when doing any deals that can be reversed in some way

How would an Middleman help in this situation? I'm almost certain that the MM would've released the funds as soon as OP redeemed the AGC.

He gave me cards first.

Anything Amazon related, I never tend to cut corners. If I do happen to buy AGC, I'm going to need a physical card, I don't care how "trusted" the user is. AGC is rather easy to obtain through fraudulent methods.

My reply was in regards to using a middleman. A middleman would have never prevented this from happening.

Oh wow... scammed for $1000 amazon... damn must sucks bro.

Continue scamming like this, and that's a surefire way to get exchanging BTC -> AGC (and the few remaining currencies still allowed) disallowed from HF.

Please, for the sake of HF, take your scamming elsewhere.
