Screen tearing with nvidia proprietary drivers - illuminaughty - Mar 1, 2016 Does anybody have a fix for this? I've been trying to fix this for a while now and can't seem to find one. I have a gtx 950m with intel HD. The intel gpu works fine after a few tweaks, not so much the nvidia. * - CorrosiveBlueberry - Mar 1, 2016 Personally i had alot of issues using the proprietary drivers so i just disabled them and went back to nouveau; even though your not going to get any ground breaking performance, i doubt your going to get anything spectacular graphic wise on linux anyways; and certain drivers just cause errors, Nvidia does for me, especially how each display driver likes to blacklist each other. Haha it took me so long to figure out that was the only reason i couldn't get nouveau working (that i had it blacklisted still). The open-source drivers work better imo just may not perform as well. Hard to explain. * - ayleid96 - Mar 2, 2016 If you dont play games switch back to nouveau, if you are... then install little older driver from the official website of nvidia. |
