Anyone every used Openfire or setup an XMPP server? - 20Bucks - Mar 12, 2016 I'm really hoping at least one of you has successfully done this before because I'm starting to run out of options. I have pratically everything done, the server is running and you can register if you're on the network the server is running on (this is my issue, the xmpp server that I'm working on is going to be public). Pretty much I have everything done exactly how every tutorial I have found says to do but yet I can't get this to work. What I currently have done: A separate domain for the xmpp server being hosted off of free web hosting and using cloudflare for DNS configuration (I'm not using the cloudflare IP maskingnstuff because that would cause the server to not work). I have an A record, CNAME record and the 2 SVR records that you need. What I can't figure out is why I can't connect/create an account when I'm on a different network. If you know anything about this, please post below as I'm running out of options and I've been googling for days. * - 20Bucks - Mar 13, 2016 Bumping this because I still can't figure it out. |
