A new home for car discussions - Shigbeard - Mar 24, 2016
Hear me out, I know a new section for them has been suggested about half a million times, to the point where I recall a staff member saying "its suggested quarterly". However, I have an idea that gives it a home WITHOUT creating a new section.
Lets throw car discussion in with sports, and rename it the Testosterone section, a section for all sorts of sports and stuff that "stereotypically" gets men hyped. Cars, footy, skydiving, racing, etc...
I know, radical concept, and theres a chance the current regulars in the sports section may not like it, but it's just a suggestion I had out of thin air and thought "hey, worst that can happen is someone says no"

I don't bother with the car chatter on the forums but I lurk the Sport section and post the odd time but this idea I like.

I like this idea, but this is not really a forum where there are alot of car discussions. Maybe that will change in the future though.

I personally think this'd clutter the section to be honest. It's too wide a range of subjects that don't necessarily relate to each other. SRPP is a section with a wide range as well, but it's all about debating. As an example: cars don't relate to soccer, it'd make the section look random. Besides that there isn't really a lot of activity that warrants the need for this, I don't see car threads being created that often. But hey, not my call. Like you said, doesn't hurt to try.

I see lots of car discussions on here not to mention we could fit all the I just bought a new car threads into this. And also the threads asking people which car they should purchase.

I agree, lately there has been an increasement in threads about cars. Maybe a subforum for this wouldn't be a bad idea after all.
