Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpucho: Tou - Aura - Mar 27, 2016 ![]() Quote:Something evil is stirring in the shadows of Tokyo... Source: http://myanimelist.net/anime/1860/Tokyo_Majin_Gakuen_Kenpucho__Tou Season(s): 2 Episode(s): 14 (1st Season), 12 (2nd Season) Currently watching it since I saw it in a "Top X Martial Art Anime" video on YouTube and it looked decent. It's old (2007), so it's kind of hard to put up with it since I prefer "new gen" Anime, but it have potential, so I'm giving it a go (at least for the 1st season). * - CorrosiveBlueberry - Mar 27, 2016 (Mar 27, 2016 02:45 PM)Aurа Wrote: I have no idea where i left off in it; probably never finished the first season; i know i tried and gave up on the first or second episode multiple times; the last time i tried i got a lot farther; probably more than halfway though the first season; just ended up busy watching other shows. It's pretty decent, just can get a tedious feeling at times. Not horrible though; i prefered tokyo ravens; even though their almost entirely different genres; almost same name that's why i always seem to compare the two. I'll probably try to pick it up one day when i get a chance but atm my list is a disarray with like 20-30 ongoing; and 45 series on hold; and a few dropped and like 285 completed. * - Lenyx - Mar 28, 2016 It's so hard to watch old anime, even if it's good I just can't deal with the aspect ratio. * - Gladly - Mar 28, 2016 (Mar 28, 2016 05:57 AM)TheHawkk Wrote: It's so hard to watch old anime, even if it's good I just can't deal with the aspect ratio. DUDE THIS SHOW IS FROM 2007 Really not that old tbh, widescreen was already being used by anime. * - CorrosiveBlueberry - Mar 28, 2016 (Mar 28, 2016 06:56 AM)Gladly Wrote: DUDE THIS SHOW IS FROM 2007 True almost all anime can be found in 720-1080p even if it was from like 1970s; it wouldn't be true 1080p but i mean it'd solve your aspect ratio issue. Such as series like the original gundam etc. if a series is old as fuck and doesn't have an actual HD release people will upscale it. You almost never have to deal with a shitty aspect ratio that won't fit your tv * - ankitkhosya - Mar 28, 2016 Most anime after 2004 are made available in full aspect ratio...... seems like a good show. * - Gladly - Mar 28, 2016 (Mar 28, 2016 07:36 AM)¥ Ɨ Jonah Ɨ ¥ Wrote: True almost all anime can be found in 720-1080p even if it was from like 1970s; it wouldn't be true 1080p but i mean it'd solve your aspect ratio issue. The thing is, most of those older shows you see that get an HD re-release are upscaled to 1080p with postprocessing effects (not that that's a bad thing), unless they have the original cels and are truly remastered. Anime that get remastered really never get their aspect ratio changed, because they were drawn and shot in the square 4:3 aspect, not widescreen. |
