start an iso directly from boot - nicodemo - Apr 1, 2016 can I start an iso directly from boot? I would like to install and configure (on windows) a boot loader that loads an ISO file located on hard disk * - Juan The Young Chef Don - Apr 7, 2016 Yes. It's possible. The way I do it is. I downloaded a Windows 7 Ulti iso from Kickass Torrents put it onto a Disk with 7 gbs available. Once it's on there all you need to do is when it boots up don't go straight to the login try and start it in safe mode (f8) then it will recognize the boot cd and ask you if you want to install the new os. From there on it's all on you. It'll prolly be bootleg so it will say not genuine and there will be a lock at the bottom right corner so follow these steps to do so http://pastebin.com/tQZfDxsm * - rhah - Apr 7, 2016 If I understood OP right. EasyBCD can do it. Go to add new entry and browse iso you want to add into boot menu. * - nicodemo - Apr 10, 2016 (Apr 7, 2016 10:55 PM)rhah Wrote: If I understood OP right. EasyBCD can do it. Follow the guide at below link. I've been trying to install XP onto my Win7 machine all day. Can't get anything to work for me. Just created Vista install USB, this shit wont boot to install either. So frustrated. Jesus Christ I finally solved my problem. Had a hidden BIOS setting that disables booting to USB device, despite me configuring to boot to USB as priority.
