Is it worth reading? I remember a friend talking about the anime how it was awesome but it seems pretty old school like berserk even tho berserk is a legit 10/10, how's d gray man?

The show had some real potential and I love the introduction of all the Noah characters, they're so unique in terms of oddity.
If you want a more in-depth story try reading the manga, it goes further past the anime since it was cancelled and it's currently exploring a very interesting storyline at the moment.
Sadly the creator has been having some health issues and the release of the manga has suffered badly, but recently a new chapter came out after almost 5 months without any updates.
It's good, but if you're the type of person who likes to finish stuff when you start it, probably shouldn't give it a try just yet.

You could read the manga but like reset said if you wanna finish it now you can't. I wouldn't suggest watching the anime though.

The anime was kinda meh however they making a new one. No idea if its new season or remake but if you got nothing to read won't hurt reading the manga.
