Award Policy Regarding Closed Accounts - Omniscient - Apr 24, 2016

I have added to Site Policy that closed accounts are now subject to all awards on the account to be removed.

Yes, they are. All awards on closed accounts are subject to removal.

I've already run the necessary queries. So right now all closed accounts should have zero awards.

Thank you.

Why is that? Is it to shame them for getting closed?

I feel like those awards should be given out lol:3

Saves us database space and I think makes the awards look more rare on postbit. I see no point in having closed accounts with awards. Now it's officially policy. Been wanting to do this for a while.

Yeah, that will clean the lists in the awards list:

I would like that to happen lol xD

Very good policy Omni, that's what I wanted to see for a while.
It looks weird for closed accounts to have awards indeed.

Some closed users, such as what I would call 'legacy' users (i.e. adampelletgun) left some great memories and achievements by the awards they had.

Although, it is understanding why you did this. I guess it was about time for a more standardized approach.

What if a closed accounts get re-opened in the future, like on that 1 day of the year where you allow ppl to appeal and stuff.

(What if that account was an UBER, would they have to re-buy UBER to get their award back? etc)

That too. Looks really sloppy imho to see awards given to accounts that are closed.

I like this. But does this mean that all previous ones will lose their awards? or just from now on?

* - BooGod - Apr 24, 2016

I think that is a good implemention.

He has already removed them from all closed accounts and will continue to do so. 😝

They should just be glad they get their account back.
