I heard Omni is upgrading the forum version to 1.8x - Does that mean it will come with the flat/modern theme?

Yes, I'm pretty sure he's said with the 1.8 upgrade we will have a new theme that is responsive and modern.

To clarify, it will NOT be a new theme. Just an updated version of the previous theme, blackreign. That's what I recall reading, correct me if I'm wrong.

There'll be a responsive theme that'll come awhile after the move to MyBB 1.8. The revamped Black Reign will come before that.

Is there an updated roadmap thread anywhere or one currently open for discussion?
I see the last update was in 2015 according to omni's last post and that was almost 7 months ago.
Can't wait to see the new changes in the future!

Omniscient replied to a request for an update on the development roadmap, you can read his reply here.
Obviously, February or March is in the past but I held off of another request another update so as to not pressure or aggravate him.
