$35 for Android Smartphone with FREE service - Omniscient - Apr 29, 2016 http://electronics.woot.com/offers/freedompop-phone-lg-volt-5?ref=el_cnt_wp_0_3 Unsure how many need a smartphone with free service but as a spare phone this is a great deal. It's $35 for the phone and you'll get... "FREE - 100% Free talk, text and data: 500 MBs of data, 500 text messages, and 200 anytime voice minutes free every month for life" I bought one of these before for an elderly family member and it's worked out great. Could be nice as a spare or even someone who can't afford a monthly plan. And it is compatible with Authy and Google Authenticator. Pretty sure you must be in USA though. Enjoy. * - Description - Apr 29, 2016 I'll probably buy this just to have around. * - Xerotic - Apr 29, 2016 I am actually going to buy this right now for a co-worker who can't afford a phone/computer. Is there any payment or upkeep that I should be aware of, or is it truly a one time payment? * - Heart of Kings - Apr 29, 2016 Thanks for the share Omni! And did I read it wrong or did you say it is only $35. * - Trapology - Apr 29, 2016 (Apr 29, 2016 10:31 AM)Rabies¥ Wrote: Thanks for the share Omni! And if you go to the website its $35 aswell why would you even ask that? * - Truth - Apr 29, 2016 Freedom pop sometimes have free 1GB data offers that can be used with any sprint device. This is still a nice deal since the phone is included, thanks omni * - Frankey - Apr 29, 2016 It is USA only I think. Not sure, but for me (The Netherlands) It is not possible. * - minimalist - Apr 29, 2016 The service map makes it very unappealing but I guess that it'd be OK for low usage in an open area. * - Riggs - Apr 29, 2016 (Apr 29, 2016 10:33 AM)Frankey Wrote: It is USA only I think. Quote:Shipping Note: Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, PO Boxes, and APO addresses is not available for this item Might also be locked to the LTE network. Great value item if you're in the US though. * - Frankey - Apr 29, 2016 (Apr 29, 2016 10:35 AM)Riggs Wrote: Might also be locked to the LTE network. Great value item if you're in the US though. Then I'm bugging or something. It gave me an error while paying. Will be re-trying. * - Omniscient - Apr 29, 2016 Quote:I am actually going to buy this right now for a co-worker who can't afford a phone/computer. It is not unlimited service though but for someone with no phone, no money, or doesn't need a ton of usage it's a good deal. And you can upgrade to better service for either $10 or $20 a month which is still very reasonable. Also same deal for an LG G2 phone which is probably a much nicer phone but it's $60 a month. http://electronics.woot.com/offers/freedompop-phone-lg-g2-5?ref=el_cnt_wp_0_2 btw Woot is a deal a day site so this offer is only for about 12 more hours and these do sell out. And yes, this is USA only and if you're in a rural area you might not get service. You can check the service map yourself. I'm getting the G2 as an emergency backup phone. I can use the number for a few things where I worry about being compromised. * - Frankey - Apr 29, 2016 (Apr 29, 2016 10:40 AM)Omniscient Wrote: Truly one-time payment. Then I'm not buying, because it is not covering my region. * - ILY ❤️ - Apr 29, 2016 I'll sure buy one for my cousin in the US. Thanks! * - Xerotic - Apr 29, 2016 Omniscient Wrote:Truly one-time payment. This will make his day, thank you. * - Heart of Kings - Apr 29, 2016 (Apr 29, 2016 10:32 AM)Vos. Wrote: It clearly says $35 dude cmon..No shit it's a figure of speech.
