This is the official HF Live Community Radio recruitment thread, ran by Nadisty & Illusionist

What are we about?

For those that don't know what we are. We are a group of individuals who came together to form a radio station. We took this opportunity after we realized Hack Forums currently doesn't have one. We will be providing music, news, contests, and giveaways. Please don't be fooled. As we develop and grow, we will not just be a radio station for Hack Forums but for an online community. We will always be based around Hack Forums.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for enthusiastic & talented individuals who know how to have fun. In short, for this role you have to be hard working, enthusiastic, willing to progress your skills and be a motivated DJ. We are also recruiting for event organizers, graphics designers and news researchers. More will be available at a later date, but for now just these job roles are available

Requirements:

*No scam reports
*Over 250 Posts
*Positive Reputation
*Pass the trust scan
*Working Microphone
*Proof of what you can do
*Have a Skype account
*Have your own music (Music will not be provided)
*Have the highest quality of music available
*Able to follow a schedule
*Speak English

Interested?

Great! Just follow this application and hopefully you'll get shortlisted to the next recruitment stage! We're not going to say take your time or if it's edited it'll be disqualified. The application might seem long and boring, but we're here long term and not just for one week. This is going to be for all of HF to hear.

If you make it to the shortlist stage you'll be contacted via Private Message to discuss further. If you have applied for a Radio Host position you will be required to do a 3 minute broadcast so we know that you can use the software, have a microphone and are confident on air. Graphics and Events will be discussed over Private message.

Tell us a little bit about yourself: I like music. Like, I really like music. I want people to be able to listen to the same music that I like and help them find something new. I'm from Canada, so that kind of automatically makes me a friendly guy and my voice is pretty good so I won't sound like shit while talking into the mic.

What makes you so special from everyone else?: I can listen to Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version for hours on end and enjoy it.
In all seriousness, there probably isn't anything that will make me stand out from the rest, except that I have an extensive background in music theory, so it'll help me mix songs a bit easier. I played piano for about 12-13 years now.

How long have you been in your selected field and what made you start?: Playing Music: 12-13 years piano. Have all my Royal Conservatory of Music stuff, I can take a picture if you really want. Playing Electronic music: about three or four years. Making electronic music: Around the same time, but a bit later. Got into experimental and now I'm a braindead drone/dark ambient artist. Mixing: About half a year doing small gigs for friends and stuff. Got more actively into it last month and really trying to figure everything I possibly could out.

How active are you on Hack Forums?: I loungewhored from 180 posts to 249 today alone. That's how bad I wanted to apply lmao. I've logged in everyday that I could/wasn't away from my computer for about 4 months.

You guys should think about contacting the brotherhood script leaders to get you guys hooked up with a script that will allow you to start playing the music without leaving HF.
Like move your mouse to the bottom right and hit play. IDK I'm not a coder

I've been meaning to start developing user-scripts. That sounds like a cool idea. I might try that.

Please provide some proof for the following position/s you have applied for: I don't know how to prove of being a radio host I've never been one but I am comfortable on the mic especially live.
Are you willing to contribute?: in what exactly? Depending on what way you mean yes of course.
Tell us a little bit about yourself: I'm a sophomore about to be a junior I love playing basketball for my school and for fun. I also love hanging out with my girlfriend and friends and I care deeply about school.
What makes you so special from everyone else?: that's for you to find out if k ever get chosen I don't know myself what makes me special I don't know the other people applying.
How long have you been in your selected field and what made you start? (The boxes you selected above)?: if you count YouTube as one I have been at it for 5 years.
How active are you on Hack Forums?: VERY active I'm on almost all day.
