Selected boot image did not authenticate - Laptop - Windows 8.1 - 88HDSoftail - May 12, 2016
Good Afternoon
I had a old HF l33t account on here but for some reason i think inactivity it has been removed.
Anyways i started up my Laptop today after doing updates last night.
Black screen appears saying " Selected boot image did not authenticate "
I press enter and it shuts down.
I've been googling this problem, and i dont think there is a thread i haven't looked in.
What I've tried
• In Bios i changed from secure boot to legacy
• System restore ( Brought it back to the 5/5/16 )
• Put in the windows disk and done a System check / Repair
• I've ran a Hard drive check ( All Passed )
• System tried to self repair
Im running out of ideas and i am going crazy.
Any insight would be helpful.

Try and restore the default settings in your BIOS, if you havent changed too much in the bios that is.
