NFA Feedback and Views - Omniscient - May 28, 2016

In an effort to remove the many free NFA threads I had them removed completely from all sections except NFA. In NFA there was the policy added that no free accounts were to be given.

5. No free account giveaways or free generators. Market sales only.

Recently it's been brought to my attention that members are abusing the policy making penny sales for accounts. Technically not free but for intent purposes might as well be. It's unfair to sellers and it's also a way to buy cheap reputations which is why these policies exist to begin with.

I'd like some feedback on this because I can't say what would be a fair minimum for a sale in the NFA. Unsure if it's 10 cents, a quarter of dollar or even a dollar. But I need to set some sort of required minimum sale to end the practice of cheap accounts used to gain reputation.

Feedback?

I think around 5-10 cents is fair if you're selling a large amount.

50 cents per account seems fair assuming everyone uses dank ebooks to make $250 an hour amirite?

Nah but 25-50 cents seems pretty fair imo.

$0.25? Sounds fair to me?

But anywhere between 0.50 to 1 would be fine

Edit: I think $1 actually, would make it easier.

Make it at least a dollar. A dollar should be fair.

I agree as well tbh

Honestly, I don't think imposing a "minimum price" per account would make much of a difference. There are reasons behind my thinking, let me explain.

Firstly, account generators. Unless you impost a minimum price on these generators, it would void the whole rule. For example, you may impose a $1 minimum price per Netflix account, but if someone is selling a generator that consists of a list of 1000 accounts at $10, that still brings the accounts down to $0.10 per account.

Also, although the threads may specify "$1 per Netflix account", if the threads links to an offsite website, such as my personal website, for example, where I'd be selling accounts for $0.01 each in reality, would this still be abusing this rule?

To add to this, although the sale of bulk accounts is technically not allowed, people still do it, and I suppose if you do decide to impose a minimum price, such as $1, it will heavily deter people from buying in bulk.

Like with most rules, I guess there will be a lot of both pros and cons to think about before imposing it. I guess it's up to you to decide whether the benefits will outweigh the negatives, and if it will improve the site for the better.

I'm down with this.
Sounds fair enough to me.

I would say $0.25 is a good minimum sale price.

So when it says "No free account giveaways" does that also mean "No non-free account giveaways" because that's what I'm getting from the top.

We're no longer allowed to give away accounts? Whether free or paid?

As for the price of each account, $0.25 minimum. 3 Vouch copies maximum (people would have sales threads with 1000 vouch copies).

No free account giveaways means, I'm assuming, you're not allowed to give away accounts for free.

Remember those "Free Netflix Accounts" threads that were in the Free Services & Giveaways section. They're not allowed at all anymore.

Making the price for an account $1 will destroy the whole market. Why buy one account for $1 instead of blowing $9-15 on a generator that gets updated on the daily.
And I'm sure the only people that are advocating $1 minimum prices are the ones that want to sell accounts (prob from generators) for massive profits.

Okay. Then I think the rule should be edited to "No NFA giveaways" or something similar.

I was going to open a thread to give out HBO accounts to the fellow Game of Thrones watchers. Glad I didn't

The policy has been that way for a while. That's why you now have these penny sales.

@ΑXiS...maybe just banning you would solve the problems. You seem bent on finding a way to circumvent the intent of the policy.

* - Heart of Kings - May 28, 2016

Just don't allow it in general. People do it to gain rep they don't give a fuck about the petty $0.01-$1.00 they make off of them.

AXiS it was nice knowing you!

* - grady - May 28, 2016

$1

You can walk around on the street picking up coins to buy anything cheaper, so there's really no point.
