antivirus and some security questions - shahwahababdul - Jun 2, 2016 Hello guys Hope you all doing good wanted some questions if someone could help 1)which antivirus to chose give your opinion the best of the best money is not an issue if you cant suggest any better then below then chose one from below Eset Nod32 vs Eset smart security??? what softwares do i need to install and keep running to make 110% sure that i wont get infected I will Appreciate it Thanks Guys Regards Abdul Wahab * - Meowth - Jun 2, 2016 I personally recommend WebRoot as it is cloud based and scans 100x faster than any other anti-virus. However, it is always a good idea to have malwarebytes as well. Remember that you can still get infected even if you have an anti-virus. Virus's can be undetectable by your anti-virus so just download responsibly. * - shahwahababdul - Jun 2, 2016 (Jun 2, 2016 07:59 AM)Borderlands Wrote: I personally recommend WebRoot as it is cloud based and scans 100x faster than any other anti-virus. hey thanks for the reply bro ill be buying malwarebyte soon and do you think webroot is better then eset? * - Meowth - Jun 2, 2016 (Jun 2, 2016 08:12 AM)shahwahababdul Wrote: hey thanks for the reply bro ill be buying malwarebyte soon and do you think webroot is better then eset? Malwarebytes is free. Do not buy it. Typically choosing an anti-virus is generally personal preference they are all good at detecting virus's some detect certain virus's better than others. However, like I said just download with caution and you will be safe. Also, type in "msconfig" in your start menu and hit enter. Then click start-up. You will see programs that are set to automatically start when you boot up your computer. If you see something you do not recognize or you are unsure about, it is possible that it is a virus. Do not disable anything unless you are 100% sure, so make sure to ask around here before doing so. Best of luck to you! * - shahwahababdul - Jun 2, 2016 (Jun 2, 2016 08:16 AM)Borderlands Wrote: Malwarebytes is free. Do not buy it. Thank you for your time mate hope to see other guys feedback asswell * - EliteTM - Jun 3, 2016 Like what was said above, it is all personal preference. My preferred "setup" is Avast Anti-virus (the free one) as the active/real-time protection or an alternative, is I like to use Panda Anti-virus (the free one aswell). Then I would manually run Malware-bytes daily, weekly or monthly (Malware-bytes in my opinion is the only protection software I would pay for). I personally don't like to pay for the premium options, but that again that is just me and it does support the company. * - Elweth - Jun 4, 2016 If you got the money and resources, go for Kaspersky. It comes with a full suite of protection. * - shahwahababdul - Jun 4, 2016 Thanks guys for the opinions Really Appreciate it and conclusion is Malwarebyte is a must having software and i would to buy pro version for the realtime protection and will decide on which antivirus to chose :D * - Captain Steve Rogers - Jun 4, 2016 I would suggest Avast and MalwareBytes. Both are free. And if money isn't an issue then buy Avast Internet security and MalwareBytes Pro. "what softwares do i need to install and keep running to make 110% sure that i wont get infected" - Don't install any random shit. - Make sure your Java is up to date. * - shahwahababdul - Jun 4, 2016 (Jun 4, 2016 03:50 AM)#Programmer Wrote: I would suggest Avast and MalwareBytes. wow thanks buddy this one helped alot thank you very much but bro can you tell me something why is avast the choice dont get it because many crypters have issues with bypassing nod and avg so why is avast the choice??? will be waiting for your reply thanks * - Captain Steve Rogers - Jun 4, 2016 (Jun 4, 2016 04:58 AM)shahwahababdul Wrote: wow thanks buddy this one helped alot thank you very much but bro can you tell me something why is avast the choice dont get it because many crypters have issues with bypassing nod and avg so why is avast the choice??? Link me to those crypters please. It's on coders skills btw. When someone uploads Trojan on distributing site, Avast is in the Top 5 Antivirus which updates it virus definition as soon as possible. Kaspersky can be changed with Bitdefender, avast and others if you do not want to pay. * - Captain Steve Rogers - Jun 6, 2016 (Jun 4, 2016 11:43 AM)shahwahababdul Wrote: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5199646 🤐 Damn never knew AVG is soo good.
