Free idea giveaway: WoW YouTube channel/series idea - Nerdi - Jun 7, 2016

Hey folks! Today I am sharing an idea I had that I believe would be funny, new, and popular in the WoW YouTube community. I used to run a WoW channel with millions of views, and thousands of subscribers. I believe this following concept would work great as a series, or even on a standalone channel with this concept being used for each individual series.

As an ex-WoW player and ex-WoW YouTuber, I learned a lot about what people enjoy. I have been thinking and I believe a "today on -chooseArealm-" channel or series could be quite hilarious. You could switch which realm you release mini series on, over time, to keep it relevant and not repetitive.

To start, you could spend a few weeks on the Moon Guard server (on US, it's the craziest sex infused RP orgy you'll ever witness, in the Inn - with an extremely dedicated community of RPers that roam other parts of the world), and collect footage.

Then you can use this footage for a couple videos a week on YouTube. I prefer the method of getting a lot of footage first, and then creating content from it... but I also sometimes know exactly what I need footage of first to be more efficient. However, collecting your footage in mass is the best way to create "highlight series" or essentially, the best of your content over the course of weeks/months.

Anyways, the concept of 'Today on Moon Guard' is that you show some hilarious footage from the realm. There are orgies, which are obviously ridiculous and "wtf are those people doing", so that's a good attention grabber to use for a bunch of the videos... However, there's also some good RP going on in other parts of the world that is far less strange.

This type of series would be popular among Moon Guard players because it highlights the good aspects of the realm (the often unknown & under reported good things about MG), and a lot of other players because they could have a good time laughing at some of the ridiculousness, but also learning more about MG and maybe giving RP a try.

I think the best way to do this series would be in a footage reel type of method, with comedy being the main goal.

----
So that's the Moon Guard example, but this type of "today on *realmName*" style could be used for multiple series on a channel that is dedicated to showcasing the various realms... Or, someone could do this type of series as a one time thing on an already existing WoW channel.

Anyways, maybe one of you can benefit from using this idea or maybe it'll spark an idea of your own. Enjoy either way!

Pretty good idea, problem is that Moon Guard is kinda the only infamous one you could go so there wouldn't really be any other fun realms you could go to.

That's true, but one realm has a LOT of content. There's a ton of RP spots on MG and you could find hours of footage just by hitting some spots up over the course of the series/channel.

There are a few servers that would be interesting. Some of the realms of top guilds are pretty cool when there's raid parties going on (mainly Tuesday/Wed/Thurs), and things like that. Also, realms of famous streamers tend to be pretty interesting when the streamers are online - and especially if they have a streaming event going on.

I definitely see your point though.
