he said that they are trying to make a kill switch for hackers if they try to do something what do yall think of this we must stop it if they are that's just what im saying but how about some of you guys and gals what do yall think.

No they are making a kill switch for national security, so if things really start to hit the fan they have a final fall back. Also if you read its for critical infrastructure to our government. The op portrays it as "OMG THEY HACKED INTO ONE OF OUR WEBSITE HIT THE SWITCH", when its more like "someone has hacked into telecommunications and recording every call, and rerouting our electrical grid"

You can't make a kill switch for the whole internet because its dynamically routed through every country so all countries would need to comply - and if bp are pissing oil into the sea instead of turning of the oil pipeline for a day just because of the loss of revenue - I doubt other counties will submit to all of there countries e trade being turned on and off at will by a governing body. The internet can't just be tuirned off - even if ammerica turned of its back bone connection the connections would just be re routed through satalites as a fail safe or via othert slower undersea cables - that's what dynamic routing is .

Sigh. Yes, this is most likely going to be passed. And to whoever said "it can't happen, it's impossible!" yes, it can and easily. All he has to do is send a Federal Order to your ISP and they'll shut down your service.
If you don't pay your internet bill, your service gets disconnected. That's exactly what would happen all over the US.
In wartime, the Constitution and Bill of Rights can be suspended if passed by Congress. It happened in 1942-1945 with the Japanese internment camp and could happen again.
