How do you stay updated with music? - Motiv - Jun 12, 2016
Title says it all. I'm curious to know how you guys stay updated with music and know when new songs comes out.
I usually just hear them randomly on youtube or on Pandora.

I follow some of my favorite artists on social media, but my friends talk about people as well.

Youtube. I find things I cant find anywhere else. Especially when I am listening to something I like and the videos just keep rolling along and I find new artists on there all the time.

I have the radio on 24/7 in the background in my house and I shuffle play Top 50 Viral on spotify a lot.

To be honest, I don't make any effort to stay updated. Subscribed to artists I like on YT and YT presents new videos in my news feed/homepage.

spotify's top US stuff is good for generally popular music, but i've found that soundcloud is mostly good for upcoming rap music.

All of this tbh. Soundcloud gives suggestions or related songs so I go through that once in a while. I'm subscribed to a few channels for my favorite genres of music and I get most of my music from those.

I tend to mostly listen to the 50's-80's, but I just check out the spotify top list if I'm curios about the new music.

Follow people on Spotify, follow favorites on SM, check global top lists every now and then, and friends when they on aux.
