Please for the love of god, stop assuming you are safe using skype.
Skype was "patched" by enabling direct connections to contacts only in the newest update.
This means peer to peer via IP is only available when you are contacts with a user.
Using what's known as "Skype DEOB" - a user can find your IP address if they are contacts with you.
They will also be able to find your IPV4 address which can be harmful if your router is accessible via your public IP.
I would recommend using web.skype.com with browser proxy/vpn on a browser you don't use as your main.
For example if you use firefox normally, use chrome with a VPN addon and web.skype.com so you can use firefox for your other shit.
I think it would be interesting if someone made a small client for web.skype.com and a vpn/proxy attachment and released it for HF users but that's just a side thing.

Old IP resolves on websites like skypegrab.net are usually much more valuable than your current IP for doxing purposes as if a website is hacked, your IP will be connected to your username+email and quite often a hash:salt which can usually be decrypted - so if you have been resolved in the past, I personally would advise deleting your skype and making a new one.

As others have suggested, you can also use a VPN and set up static routing to get to websites like Hackforums.net while being on a VPN

Literally have no fucking idea why people choose to use Skype when there are tons of other options out there. Why not just use XMPP? Less bullshit and more security.

That depends on the situation, you might be gaming or want to check hackforums but you would be unable.

Just add an exception for hackforums and if you have a fast enough vpn close to you, you can game fine.
