Whats the first thing a beginner should learn? - savagehax - Jun 20, 2016 Hey guys! New to the forum and absolutely a beginner, but looking to learn. Where would you suggest to start? I know python but that is the only language so far. Do I need to learn certain languages first? Any advice on where you experienced guys started would be greatly appreciated! Pay it forward Thanks, SavageHax * - ineverpost - Jun 20, 2016 You call yourself savagehax, but know nothing. If you already know python, then learning another programming language should be easy for you. I'd recommend C++ since you already know another language. For hacking I would recommend you looking up some beginner basic pentesting courses that set you up in a Linux Enviroment. There are free ones all over the internet or if you have a lot of money and want to go at it you can try Offensive Security although its not recommended for very basic beginners. Also getting familiar with Linux in general would be a good idea. I learned from the book "The Linux Command Line" https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1593273894/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1466485243&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=the+linux+command+line&dpPl=1&dpID=517eBAhF%2B8L&ref=plSrch and a Linux course on edX.org |
