Muscle Milk- Make you gain weight? - Noscope. - Jun 22, 2016

Ive been drinking muscle milk after the gym for some time now (for protein of course) but I've heard somewhere that it can make you gain weight and isn't the best for you. What do you guys think? I've been dieting and working hard, then weightlifting at the gym and drinking muscle milk to put on muscle- and the muscle is definitely being added but my main goal is to lose weight. It doesn't push me over my calorie limit as i have about 1000-1200 calories a day and get my nutrients. Do you guys think its something to worry about?

Op try drinking a gallon of milk per day.

Edit: Realized you aren't trying to gain weight.

First why are you eating at 1200 you should be at 1600 as lowest.

You can't gain muscle and lose weight at the same time. You can simply maintain it.

If you're staying within your caloric deficit, you're staying in your caloric deficit.

Because what i eat does not suffice to 1600 man. I eat enough, just healthy, low caloric food

So as long as I'm not going over my calorie deficit I'm straight?

Muscle Milk is the worst -- You will not lose fat drinking that

Why is that? because based on calories it does fit into my diet- and all other nutrition facts seem to be alright

Trying to gain muscle on 1000 calories a day??? okay you have no idea how a diet works lol. You NEED food to build muscle. It wont make you gain fat at that rate the milk is the least of your problems

I am ripped, don't count calories.

Instead count your macros.

I used to use myfitnesspal but its difficult to plug in food that aren't scannable haha.
So calories are irrelevant?

I have never counted calories and I have maintained a ripped body.

As long as you hit the right macros and workout you will notice a change.

Also if you want quicker results you can do carb cycling, I personally don't like it because I love carbs but it will get you quicker results.

Another method would be fasted cardio, it burns fat a lot quicker

I am on a low carb diet- dont have many carbs. And I've heard about fasted cardio- cardio in the morning is it?

Fasted cardio means doing cardio on an empty stomach.

Basically wake up have a cup of coffee do some cardio and then meet all your macros by the end of the day

Ah okay, and why does that make you lose weight quicker?
