Upgrade: Payment Cancelled/Timed Out - Formant - Jun 28, 2016 Two things... First, I tried upgrading to ep1c, but with the associated fees, I turned out to be a few cents short -_- So I checked the Help Docs to see what to do in this case and I found this: Quote:What happens if my payment is reversed for some reason? Does this have to do with PayPal or does this mean I have to pay an additional $20 for being a few cents short? Or, will my account will be closed? It'd suck to get closed over a few cents 🤦♂ Second, since PayPal is no longer an accepted form of payment, this doesn't need to be in the Help Docs anymore unless Omni left it there for a reason: Quote:What happens if my PP account is limited or the upgrade is reversed due to unforseen circumstances? I'm really not too keen on using cryptos as payment methods, but I've since added more btc and started another transaction. There should be more than enough to cover fees this time. Idk, I'm kinda lost in what I have to do here so any help is appreciated. I just don't want to lose my HF account over a stupid amount of change.... Here are my coinpayments transactions for upgrading: Spoiler (Click to View) * - N1nj4Styl3 - Jun 28, 2016 It's about PayPal only. Nothing is going to happen. Since the payment didn't go through, how can you reverse it? Especially if it's BTC. * - Formant - Jun 28, 2016 (Jun 28, 2016 02:57 AM)N1nj4Styl3 Wrote: It's about PayPal only. That's what I thought, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I don't know what the consequence is, if any, on the merchant's end if a payment cannot be completed for whatever reason. For example, If somebody constantly initiated a transaction, and it gets cancelled, it could be that the merchant has to pay a fee or something, idk. If that's not the case then nvm. Hopefully it's ok. Thanks. * - BLURRYFΛCE - Jun 28, 2016 This is not the same as a reversal. The payment is never made unless the full payment amount is made to the Bitcoin address you were given. If you sent Bitcoin to it and are a bit short, then there's a link or something you can click in your email to get it refunded (but not reversed, as the payment was never processed). Also, if you did a reversal with Bitcoin, after 6 confirms, then I don't think Omniscient would be mad at you, I think he'd applaud you. 🤣 * - Formant - Jun 28, 2016 (Jun 28, 2016 03:46 AM)Riley Wrote: This is not the same as a reversal. Lol thanks for clearing that up. Closing this now since it makes me look like a retard. * - Omniscient - Jun 28, 2016 I'll update that page to remove all the PP stuff. Also I plan to add notification to members via PM when their payment cancels/timeout from Coinpayments along with instructions and description of the process. |
