Allowing negative reputated users to post Deal Disputes. - Crystallize. - Jun 29, 2016

Pretty much the title sums it up.
Many people scam these users because they know they cant post a deal dispute.I think this new thing will prevent "sellers" to scam members with negative reputations.

I agree with this, or Omni could move the Deal Disputes section out of the marketplace, whichever is easier.

* - Riyu - Jun 29, 2016

I don't think this will be changed to be honest, I think it has something to do with false reports

* - Talu - Jun 29, 2016

Good idea, but alternatively people with negative reputations could avoid making deals until they're in green.

In order for this to be achieved, Marketplace permissions would have to be reinstated. This would cause more harm than good.

Upgrade and post in the deal disputes database and contact third parties such as HFAlert (which may be falling apart).

This will never happen, as there are a lot of shitholes with negative reputation looking to cause some drama. You can repay your debt to society and earn positive.

Maybe Omni could make a seperate section for Deal Disputes?

How are we falling apart?

Omni said in the past when this was suggested if you have negative or no rep you shouldn't be dealing in the marketplace in the first place

Omniscient has said xactly this OP.

I get the idea but honestly it would do much more harm then good, and it would probably be abused aswell.

Well, I agree that it shouldn't be changed but someone could have +1 rep and the "scammer gives him a -3" which now unables him to make a deal dispute because of the scammers -3.

I have a feeling some of the people that are against this idea are the ones that scams negative reputated members :)

Or it's because it's not that great of an idea and could lead to abuse.

Exactly why Deal Disputes section should be moved if perms can't be changed. If it's moved elsewhere then it really doesn't harm anyone and allows neg'd "scammed" people to post disputes. If you think it'll cause "cancer" and have lots of "whiny babies" then let it be, those threads will close/be ignored quickly and the section can move on regularly. It's simple.
