Gunmen take hostages in Bangladeshi capital Dhaka - ale12386 - Jul 1, 2016 Story:Spoiler (Click to View) SOURCE: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-36687616 REDDIT LIVE: https://www.reddit.com/live/x6nlz174eayk I will update post when more info comes out * - Pericles - Jul 1, 2016 I can't seem to believe that this was resolved by Bangledish troops lol. I mean they "terrorists" themselves took out pretty much everything the police threw at them. I think by the time it ended they at the least wounded 40+ people? They made the first responders look like a bad joke. A really bad joke. * - Shoe - Jul 1, 2016 (Jul 1, 2016 10:52 PM)Pericles Wrote: I think by the time it ended they at the least wounded 40+ people? At least. There isn't a lot of information now, Bangladesh police requested that news crews not film it as they wanted to resolve this "diplomatically and peacefully" but that obviously went by the way side. Initial reports were 40+ wounded when they were still being diplomatic. No clue as to what's going on right now, as police had stormed the cafe not long ago. Currently CNN is broadcasting information from fucking Sri Lanka - that's how little information we have. * - Pericles - Jul 1, 2016 (Jul 1, 2016 10:56 PM)Shoe Wrote: At least. Yeah I don't even believe they resolved it, at the very very least a Japanese team play a real big part in it. * - Shoe - Jul 1, 2016 (Jul 1, 2016 11:01 PM)Pericles Wrote: Yeah I don't even believe they resolved it, at the very very least a Japanese team play a real big part in it. You don't think Bangladesh could have resolved it? Eh, it's possible. For years they've had instances of relatively "minor" terrorist attacks - stabbings, assassination attempts, etc. I think they were prepared from a hardware and training perspective, but needed some guidance on the whole "6+ men just took 20+ hostages, what the fuck do we do now" thing. * - CordCutter - Jul 1, 2016 Hope every one is safe. Stop these innocent killings * - Pericles - Jul 2, 2016 (Jul 1, 2016 11:04 PM)Shoe Wrote: You don't think Bangladesh could have resolved it? Eh, it's possible. Yeah I still believe they did it alone, I mean even if these were your average ISIS fighter they made the response team look like a bad 1980 yo mamma joke. There is no way it was a Bangladesh Ops team that did the actual entry. It might say it was, but it wasn't lol, guys dressed in a certain uniform yeah, Who actually did the entry to end it all we'll never know. * - ClassyBear - Jul 2, 2016 Does make you wonder if ISIS are just claiming random attacks? * - Stork - Jul 2, 2016 The police raided the build last night, 6 gunman dead, 1 in custody, 2 officers dead, 20 hostages killed and 13 rescued. ISIS claimed responsibility. |
