[2799283] Scammed $100 BTC By Unknown / Deepest / Kruul Tepes - Lync - Jul 7, 2016

Hello, I'm going to explain exactly what happened and then show proof for everything afterwards.

Reason for purchasing:
I own a web design and development company, which requires a lot of work with websites even after they are online and running. One of my offers is free hosting I provide with each design plan, I always want too make sure my servers are safe and stable. To accomplish this, I decided to stress test my servers to see how much they can handle before going offline so I can give my customers a idea of the amount of protection they will receive.

What happened:
I contacted Unknown(he has over 40 username changes, feel free to view those), in regards of his L7 Net spot that he was selling(thread located here: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5327280). He seemed like an alright guy and the conversation went fine up until payment was made.

The deal was pretty straightforward, $100 per month for (1 spot) on his Net. After payment, instantly errors started occurring. He has little to no knowledge about his Net and couldn't even give me the correct commands to connect to the IRC. After finally connecting to the IRC, the commands for the channel itself didn't work either. He was puzzled and kept saying he will ask his friend when he gets online how to fix the issue. He claimed his friend would be online within 2 hours of our deal, which never happened. I decided to give him 24 hours from payment to fix the issue.

24 hours later, no friend, and no solution. I decided to ask for my money back, now here's the part that would probably make most of you mad if you were me. He spent my money instantly after I sent it to him without even making sure the Net spot was working first. Absolutely ridiculous to spend a customers money when you haven't even delivered a working product yet. He offered to pay $22 and then for me to wait until he could get the rest, I declined. I did not pay him $100 just so he could waste my time, then send me less than a quarter of my money back, just so I could wait weeks for the rest.

Now at this point the reason for why the commands were not working was clear. He did not have the permissions to give me my permissions on the Net... His excuse was that he reset his PC and lost the permissions. I don't think it's even his Net at this point and I think he was just trying to make some quick cash by selling a spot on his friends Net. Anyways, he swore that if I waited another 24 hours that he would have it fixed or else he will borrow the money and send it back to me, I agreed.

24 hours goes by again, and what do you know. This time he's no where to be found, he ironically goes offline 8 minutes before his 24 hours are up and hasn't be online since. Ignoring my skype messages and won't even get on the forums. Keep in mind, this member was very active before the deal, and after. He just ironically becomes inactive 8 minutes before his last 24 hours are over. He knew when his 24 hours were over and has no excuse for not being online at that time. It is now over 12 hours past that 24 hour mark and he is still no where to be found. I have sent him several warnings and told him that this will happen if he continued to waste my time.

I have been nice to this guy and gave him plenty of time to fix the issue. It's clear now his motives were never to fix it.
I ask for the help of the community, most of you know what it is like to be scammed or lied too. If you do, please help me to ensure that this member doesn't scam or lie too anyone else. Thank you.

UPDATE: He has come online finally 13 hours after the 24 hour mark and is still ignoring me.

This seems like a sufficient scam report. Hope you get this resolved OP.

I've just looked over this and I see a few things.

He offered you a partial refund which you should have taken. You can tell that he did not knowingly give you a faulty product. You should work on your patience.

As for his TOS, you are not entitled to a refund and you were given the product, just not in full effect. It seemed like he was working on fixing it.

I hope you two can resolve your issue, but this doesn't look like you were scammed. Good luck.

You basically just said because he said no refunds in his TOS that he can deliver me a broken product and keep the money... How does this not look like a scam to you, I gave him $100.00 and he is now ignoring me and gave me nothing but a IRC login to a broken channel, where is the logic?

He showed proof of it working and then he seemed to be working on getting it fixed. This happened less than 3 days ago and he offered a partial refund until he could get the full funds.

He has been online and ignoring me, His TOS for no refunds is void now since he said he would send me my $100 back. Also, I told him I will gladly close this dispute once my refund is received. Opening this dispute has nothing to do with patience and most people would have opened it sooner than me.

The point of the dispute is to represent that I did not receive what I paid for and that I am not satisfied at all with the deal that transpired between the two of us. It's not about whether you think he did or didn't scam me. It's about the fact that he did not deliver what he was selling, I gave him several chances and even informed him that this dispute would be opened if he did not comply. He is well aware of that.

I think you are forgetting the fact that he has said countless times that it would be fixed (within the given time frames) and it wasn't. He can say he is going to fix it 1,000 times but that doesn't mean he is going too. Anyways, I appreciate your opinion but I don't want to debate the legitimacy of this deal when I am sitting here without a working product or $100.

Reason why he kept saying 24 hours so you wouldn't make a scam report an he would have time to scam others , hey atleast the kid is playing the game right lmao sorry for the scam though

* - ɯιʅʅ - Jul 8, 2016

dam bro looks legit sorry for your loss

* - iamunknown2016 - Jul 13, 2016

Seems legit. I will post my screenshot if he doesn't reply me soon.

* - ♥♥♥ - Jul 13, 2016

Seems like a legit report, you should not have to deal with being ignored for over 48 hours after coming through on payment. You fulfilled your end of the deal and he did not. I'm sort of confused that some of the others posting here don't see it that way. Hope you get your money/product.

* - Lync - Jul 13, 2016

For the members who posted telling me to be patient: Still no refund, still no resolution.

Ironic how the members who said be patient, have connections with the user I reported. Also ironic how the 2 members that posted "Be patient, chill the fuck out" were within 2 minutes of eachother as if someone had told them to do it. Also ironic how one of the users that said "be patient" just so happens to have the same avatar picture as the user I reported and even made a remark about it. Hmm, interesting.

Now this could all just be one huge coincidence, but I'll leave that for you guys to decide.

Lmao he scammed me today too. Instantly blocked on xmpp after payment confirmed. Wish I had done a little research first but I honestly forget kids on here were so desperate for money that they'd scam $100.

Update: Then he left me a neg rep saying I tried to jack his net lmfao

* - iamunknown2016 - Jul 14, 2016

Exactly he scammed me too. Damn kids!

* - NRouted - Jul 15, 2016

Just scammed me too https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5339568
