NetScript - Scripting Framework [in Development] - BahNahNah - Jul 10, 2016

Im having a good time learning about parsing. Though i might make a dev thread so people can give me some pointers along the way.
The reason this is not in the C# subforum is because when this is finished, it will be a library that can be used with C# and VB. (This thread will turn into the release thread when its done, no point making 2 threads)
And yeah, i know its messy.

What am i trying to make?
Im trying to make a framework so people can easily add scripting capabilities to already completed projects with little hassle.

So, what have i go so far?
I have a basic framework setup to add methods, variable types and keywords:

So what is to do?
  • Add more types

  • Improve error handling

  • Structure more like a framework

  • Add some sort of heirachy systems fo functions can be called from a class/namespace

  • Add an "event" the osystem so functions in the script can be called from the .net program.

I noticed you use

What happens when people try to compile that in lower versions o.o.

Look into something called BNF. It's the way a formal language is created.
