Hiding open programs from the taskbar - Plexcoo - Jul 10, 2016

Is there a way to hide an application from being shown on the taskbar while it's open? For example when I open up Skype, I still want the program to be running but I just don't want it to be shown open in the background in my taskbar after I minimize it.

There should be some tools to do this. Any recommendations?

try Hiddex, you can hide any window with it

Why would you want this to be hidden on your own??? system.

You can also try winrap, its a small program that you can run from the tray (and hide) that will hide active windows from being displayed on the task bar. It can be password protected IIRC and given a hot key.

If you are on windows 10 and you just want to be creative, press WIN + D. This will open a second virtual desktop. Run your second application from here, then toggle back (CTRL + WIN + Arrow L/R) to the first desktop and it will not be visible on the task bar!

Good luck hiding your secret pronz!

search for second desktop and do your nasty business on 2nd desktop/workspace.
