[Suggestion] Add "vouch tags"... - Mαxim - Jul 12, 2016

I did read this thread and could not find anything related to this suggestion. If you recall this suggestion already been made and denied, tell!

Explanation of the title:

The suggestion is, to add vouch tags to threads that involve selling moneymaking ebook or w/e.

Etc. If someone have not reviewed the ebook but still wanna vouch for the seller, they should select the [Product not reviewed] tag.

And if you have reviewed the product you should select [Product reviewed].

Something like that.

Note before closing: Closing this thread, cleaning my open threads a lil bit. People have said what they think, and this would be a lot of work to implant it. But it would clean up sales threads to be able to see actual product reviews. Hopefully you'll agree and note down this suggestion, Omni. Keep up the good work.

Not going to lie, if omni implemented this idea it would be pretty dope.

Indeed, however I do not wanna suggest this if it can ruin business for the forum in anyway.

What will this be used for (in a grander scheme of things)?

People will have a tougher time getting away with vouching for shitbags.

A very long time ago there was an official group called reviewers, they used to review ebooks. Omniscient took it down and I think he's never gonna do something like that or the tags for reviews.

If the group was still around then I would agree with the suggestion.

Alright I feel you, however it is not what I am talking about. These tags would simple show if the vouch on the thread is a seller vouch or product vouch.

How do you know if something is actually read or not?

Exactly what I was thinking. I feel like this would be useful but could be easily abused.

Prefix suggestions go here: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=2950320

Should be noted that vouches and reviews don't mean anything. Most members have their friends make up vouches and reviews when they first post the thread which pretty much makes those worthless.

Good point, there's systems for everything though. Maybe use warning level in case of being exposed for leaving fake product vouche(s)?

I don't think that's the point.
If a person buys a product and it doesn't work as advertised, the people who vouched for the product can also be held accountable along with the seller.
