To be more specific the difference between Kali Linux and other Debian based distros is that Kali Linux is made specifically for pentesting. Kali Linux comes with all comes of security tools pre-installed. Kali Linux is more commonly used on an external HDD of some sort. I don't recommend Kali Linux to be installed on your hard drive. If you want to use a Linux distro I recommend Ubuntu or Kubuntu. They are both great distros to start out on. If you need anymore help feel free to ask.

Thank you for the info. Why Kali Linux does not preferably to be downloaded in the hard drive?Just curious.Just now,I am thinking to download it in the usb.hahha So,if i use Ubuntu for the example,is it I need to install Kali Linux in Ubuntu or Windows?Which Os is more preferable? Sorry for my bad.

Don't apologize for asking questions. How else will you learn?
🙃

I've personally never used Kali Linux but I hear it's not the best on your hard drive because it's meant for using when you need it, like as a LiveCD, not using it all the time. Also Kali Linux is a pretty bulky distro, that's due to all the pentesting programs that come pre-installed. If you do make your usb bootable with Kali Linux on it, I'd recommend keeping it on as a LiveCD, so you can boot into Kali Linux on the go whenever.

You can only install Kali Linux on Ubuntu or Windows in a virtual machine, personally I don't see a point in that, you can just use your LiveCD or install it on your hard drive. Kali Linux is it's own distro, so it's the same idea as Kubuntu compared to Gentoo, each are their own OS.

Yeah,it's true😉
Oh,I see. When i searched internet, there are a few posts said that some times Ubuntu will fail to launch properly after the installation of Kali Linux tools. That's why I am asking you either it is the right choice to be downloaded on Ubuntu or Windows .hehe.Btw,Thank you for your help! =)
Maybe I will download Ubuntu on LiveCd first and keep on exprementing .I will download Kali Linux at the same time as I have to use Kali Linux for the future.

That's probably your best right now in my opinion as you start to feel more comfortable and confident with Linux, downloading Ubuntu and playing around with it will help you a lot. I'm glad I can help. You could also use VMware or VirtualBox to install Ubuntu or Kali Linux onto a virtual hard drive and use it in that environment. If your interested in doing that just research VirtualBox or VMware and you'll find guides easily.

He isn't going to learn from you giving him wrong answers.
Original question, the difference between Kali Linux and Linux is that Linux is a kernel. Kali Linux is a distribution of that kernel with a userland.

it's not the best on your hard drive because
I'm not even upset about this one, because the answer was hilarious.
No no, it isn't meant to be used as a "daily" operating system because of the design and nature of it. It was "meant" to be use as a LiveOS for quick on the job pentests, as well as the root user being the default user, which goes along with it being meant to be used live.

You can only install Kali Linux on Ubuntu or Windows in a virtual machine
Now this was just a dumb answer. No, this is not true. You can install Kali Linux on any operating system/hardware that supports virtualization.

My laptop is pretty ghetto and could barely run windows because the touchpad would randomly stop working, and I had a dual boot with Windows 10 (Trash) and kali rolling. I used kali as a daily for like 3 months when I destroyed my MBR and couldn't boot windows no matter what. I kept using kali and didn't have any problems, just got annoying after a while. I finally backed everything up that I could, wiped the HDD (yes I installed it on my HDD and I have no problems) and now I have windows 10, kali rolling, and linux mint. I use Linux Mint as a daily now, and it is awesome. Would recommend it to anyone, just super clean. Occasional i use kali when hacking (whoops I mean "pentesting") And windows whenever I need sony vegas or audacity. And honestly Im stuck between Debian or Ubuntu. Gnome on Debian is so clean and works so well in Kali, but Ubuntu is very similar, but when paired with Cinnamon, it is beautiful. I would recommend starting with mint to learn your way around Ubuntu, (similar to debian, you will have no problem going to kali after) and getting familiar with linux and its commands. now im rambling, but I suggest trying Mint to learn about linux. Kali is pretty ghetto if attempting as a daily, but it works when its desperately needed.

TLDR; Use linux mint to start learning about linux, kali is ok as a daily, windows is trash.

Not pretending to be an expert, didn't I say I think quite a fews time, I also recall saying I've never used Kali Linux because I use Arch and Gentoo. You don't have to be arrogant about it.

Kali Linux has tools that a penetration tester can use. Linux on the other hand does not come with it so you would have to install them yourself.

I'm not being arrogant. I'm speaking. If you're conveying an arrogant tone through what I'm typing, that's on you, not me.

Okay. That really doesn't mean anything, if you know how to use one distribution, you pretty much know how to use every other distribution.

Very short: Kali linux is Debian wheezy with pre installed (hacking) tools. So I think the answer to your question is: Yes, you can install any Linux distro and download any (hacking) tool you want on it.
And believe me, it doesn't matter which distro (except for arch and other more advanced distros) you begin with. I began with Kali, and everyone around me said that that was dumb.
Now I'm OK with linux.
