Hey,
My account Tanarif (hackforums.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=432770) was temp banned for 5 days, with the message telling me the ban would expire at 11:30pm on the 23rd of July. However when I checked after that - it doesn't let me access anything after logging in, not even my PM's, which leads me to believe I've been perma banned.
Now the reason I was banned in the first place was 'eBay partnerships' - not scamming or anything more serious. I've been a member for 6 years - had good positive rep and try to help out when I can with awards etc - why have I been perma banned? More to the point, my thread in the partnerships forum (hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5167975) was removed once before by a mod - I modified the thread to remove ebay partnerships and only seek craigslists partnerships - and I got explicit permission from the same mod to repost my thread (they restored the deleted thread for me). So 1) I got a temp ban for a thread that was approved, and 2) for some reason that temp ban has become a perma ban.
Whatever the reason, I don't think any of that quite justifies a perma ban. If you want me to stop with the craigslist partnership thread, I'd be more than happy to take it down. But I really don't feel like I've done anything that warrants a perma ban, and as I value the forums quite highly (being a programmer as a day job myself) and having been here 6 years, I really would like to request being reinstated, or at the very least to hear what's gone on here. Ebay Partnerships
We no longer allow partnership offers concerning Ebay accounts. They're being used to commit fraud. And as such we've disallowed the activity here.

Yeah, I said you can open the thread if stop looking for/making ebay partnerships on the forum AND over pm.
But you continued to operate those partnerships and look for new ones over PMS. Not allowed.
