Dual Booting between Windows 10 and El Capitan - Lysol - Jul 31, 2016 Can any one suggest to me if it's better to install Windows 10 and El Captian on the same SSD (2 Separate partitions). Or have each OS installed on its own SSD. I currently have a Samsung Evo 850 500GB with Both OS installed. * - ur girls daddy - Aug 1, 2016 It's always better to have 2 different disks since you get more space. But security-wise idk. * - KusheKurse - Aug 2, 2016 If you lose one drive, you lose both OSes. Stick with two separate drives, mate. * - PloxSource - Aug 6, 2016 I run El Capitan and Win 10 on two separate drives. This came handy as fuck for me when installing El Capitan as it was a bitch to hackintosh so i needed to format the drive all the time. * - thematador - Aug 31, 2016 I'd definitely recommend two different drives, way easier for things to get messed up when you have them both on one. Ended up accidentally deleting my boot record for Windows when I was trying to get everything working and had to run recovery. * - Prince Paradise - Aug 31, 2016 I never really like dual batting, but better having two separate drives for each OS. * - Splendid - Sep 1, 2016 I recommend buying a separate SSD/HDD for your Hackintosh. 1. Saves a lot of headache on installation 2. Safer |
