Hellsing Ultimate - Dub or Sub? - Chips Ahoy McCoy - Aug 2, 2016
Finally going to watch Hellsing Ultimate, and I was wondering if the dub took away from the story at all? Also, does it sound cancerous?

Dub was pretty awesome tbh, some of the better English voice acting I've heard. I never actually saw it in sub. The only cringy voice acting might be from Spoiler (Click to View), but otherwise should be decent.

No, the dub is also not bad for a dub.
Their English accents aren't the worst.

Just finished the first episode, I can't tell if it's because of how old the animation is, but the audio is really annoying sometimes. Like, the voices are significantly quieter than the music and such. I keep having to adjust my amp every few scenes. x.x

Are you watching the original (Hellsing) or the newer one (Hellsing:Ultimate)? Ultimate should have pretty recent animation so should be decent.

Hellsing Ultimate. I'm not sure if it's just the specific one I downloaded, but the audio is just done strangely.

Didn't realize it was on youtube, that's interesting. I can deal with the audio now, turns out I was on the wrong setting for the filetype I was watching lol.
Side note, Alucard is fucking scary. If I saw him irl, I'd probably shit myself. Halfway through episode 3.

The dub is sooooo much better.
They actually hired people with proper accents to play their respected roles.
I made the terrible decision to watch the sub originally but then watched the dub when it was on Toonami and it was so much more enjoyable.

Dub was good for anime dubbing but I still always go with Subs.
