Essentially the film that brought the name Miyazaki into the spotlight and created the Studio Ghibli team, this animated work or art is a true masterpiece of meaning and story-telling ahead of its time. The story entertains the unique notion of man vs. nature and the effects of humans on the environment, something that isn't found often in many post-apocalyptic settings in anime of this time period. The sound is pleasant throughout, done by Joe Hisaishi who is also present in other Ghibli films. Characters are strong and well versed in this film, as well as creating one of the few heroins of this era. Overall, this film is was enjoyable and I recommend that you all watch it if you can ;)

Extra: Interesting HF thread on test glider.
