Update on Soft Bans / Perm Bans - Mephaela - Aug 12, 2016

Hey guys! Quick little update for you for you people that are panicking about Perm Bans / Soft Bans or whatever you all love to panic about...

To start.... there are NO PERM BANS. So stop panicking thinking you're perm banned, there are three new soft bans out, and they are cracking down HARD.

First off, soft bans are no longer IP Based, they are account based, so if you get soft banned on an account, it's done, for a while, here's the catch, you can continue to catch pokemon so you may not think you're soft banned, but trust me, you are.

Second, pokestop spinning NO LONGER unbans you, there is currently no fix that I have been able to find as of yet... will find one soon.

Third, pokemon catching is now monitored and cause for a soft ban! If you catch an unrealistic amount of pokemon in a certain period of time... like you people using Haxton, you will get SOFTBANNED.

If you want to avoid this, tweak your configs yourself, don't just use something basic, or find someone who can help you with it.

Let's see who the real botters are that are willing to stick it out... cause I can tell you now, the Niantic hammer is coming down hard right now ;p

Also, just to show you that I'm serious, I have 6 accounts set up so far with a new config I just wrote that have been running for over an hour:

Good luck!

Everything listed here sounds logical, +1 from me.

"First off, soft bans are no longer IP Based, they are account based"

So you're saying I can start up 100 accounts no problem on my IP?

"here's the catch, you can continue to catch pokemon so you may not think you're soft banned, but trust me, you are."

You won't be able to catch pokemon (auto flee), but still get stops. Over time, it might advance to not even getting stops (not in range).

"Second, pokestop spinning NO LONGER unbans you, there is currently no fix that I have been able to find as of yet... will find one soon."

Obvious that they won't, but don't lie about finding a bypass. There's no guarantee you can bypass it.

Ive got an account thats level 29 and one 30, Level 30 account is receiving the game data error but the other one isnt, ran on same settings as the level 29. They may be targetting accounts based on level? Anyways ill wait a day and update my post if the error is gone.

It's a softban, there is always a way to bypass it, it's literally impossible for there to not be a way to bypass it... that's just how things work, it may be VERY hard to find, but it's out there, and we will find it, just like we've found one for every situation so far.

Upgrade your NecroBot =) Maybe your problem fits

Have people tried logging on the "banned" account on their phone?

so is this a new softban?

Perm IP ban <- Have an idea, but don't have any IPs to test.
Temp IP ban <- Using proxies isn't a bypass.
Softban <- That's more of Niantic's fault.
New account ban <- You can't do anything, how would you even attempt to bypass that?

The only true bypass was Niantic's programming mistake. Oh, you can still get temp IP banned.

You caught a pokemon, which means it's not the new ban.
You failed to loot, which can be the original softban. That was already gone before you caught the pokemon.
We'd need a longer log to tell you anything more.

Yes, before spinning the pokestops would eventually get you unbanned, but Niantic has removed this, so it's no longer a way to get unbanned. If you have that error on your account, get off it, and leave it for a while, time is the only fix at this point that I know of.

Perm IP ban is a thing, yes, change the IP and you're fine.

Temp IP ban is no longer a thing, it's account specific now, they realized their error in temp IP Bans.

I don't see what you're getting at? I'm here to help people and you're trying to discredit me and argue for zero reason? If you want to flame just take it somewhere else, not interested.

Perm IP ban has been there from the start. Still want to test something on it.

Temp IP bans are still there. Yes, I temp IP banned myself to test it out.

So it's bad to correct the information before people start getting themselves temp IP banned and giving them false hope?

Ok, let's see a screenshot of this "temp IP ban" I'd like to see what it looks like.

How are you correcting information that's already correct? Also a temp IP ban is literally meaningless if you have a proxy or a VPN, so that doesn't really ruin their hopes...

Saying that temp IP bans are gone means people may attempt to bot multiple accounts at once.

The "hopes" part was with the "finding a bypass." It's a perm/temp account ban. Comes to a point where you can't grab pokestops or catch pokemon.

You shouldn't be attempting to bot multiple bots at once anyway unless you're using a proxy? If you even try you get instantly soft banned, this has been a thing for what, a week or more now?

Whatever you're running is more than likely saying it's a temp IP ban when it's actually just an account soft ban... Are those proxied? If they're not individually proxied then you're doing it wrong, and that's why you're getting an error.

I got unbanned using quickspin. Maybe it only works some times?
