News regarding login error -List of unbans- & theories !Constantly updated! - Buzzle - Aug 14, 2016
Three days ago I was botting on three accounts. The ban aka login error (server Bla Bla Bla...) hit 2 of them over night while my clearly botted Lvl 34 remained untouched.
One of the two accounts were unbanned yesterday and able to access the game through an iPhone regularly.
Tested collecting pokestops, catching Pokemon and taking over gyms.
FYI; All of the accounts were botting under the same IP on the same computer at the same location.

Has anyone else experienced this? 🤝 if so, please pm me or post here if your account has been unlocked and I will update the thread.

edit2; could the login error be corrupted data? Seems like it since accounts that would be banned if checked are accessing the game again after the error. I guess in that case they are somehow slowly restoring the data?
edit3; Sent a ticket for one of my accounts (Lvl 31) on the 11th, still no reply on the website or by email, will update once I get a reply.

edit5; The account that had the login error removed and was able to log-in is now CLOSED again. I'm losing hope.

Throwing out theories; Could banning of botters possibly come from the game starting at the same coordinates every time? For example, what are the chances the game always is opened at a specific location in a park? Same for snipers, catching many Pokemons (rares) at the "home" location?

I'm having a similar situation. One of my accounts was able to login fine today after having the server issue screen yesterday. But my brother's account still has that issue. I wonder why some get fixed faster than others..

A theory could be that they prepaired for server issues and locked some accounts out to at least make the game playable for most of the players.
If not maybe they are actually going through and checking the accounts, however it would not make much sense to unlock my friend's account with around 900 charmander candies which were obviously botted.

Yea mine was a level 40 and it got unlocked lol. So I have no idea what they're doing lmao. I doubt they're manually checking accounts though. That level 40 had "bot" all over it lol.

That is the best news i've read all day. I guess there is hope for all of us. I'll be trying to log onto my account with like 5 irl devices now to see if it works on any of them. 2 of them has never had pokemon so we'll see if there is a potential fix there. Did you do anything special when your lvl 40 got unlocked?

Nope. I made the account when the game came out (USA) and played it for maybe 5mins a day. No Pokémon maps, no 3rd party software, no bots, no sniping, no emulators.

First off all, congrats on having your account(s) working mate, very glad to hear some success on this matter.
Secondly, were you getting the "FAILED TO GET GAME DATA FROM SERVERS" message with a purple Retry button OR were you getting the "WE ARE HUMBLED BY YOUR RESPONSE etc." message that shows a colorful background with a couple Pokemon and displays absolutely no button?
There's actually some sort of difference between the two of those.

I actually got both of those messages on the same account when trying to log in. But mostly it's just the error message with the purple retry button.

Yeah the "Failed to get(...)" is the one we're actually afraid of since nobody has actually reported getting past it in the last 72hs. I've been getting it for around that time with no way around it.
Different devices, different IPs, etc. So it is most likely some sort of ban.

If you:
Login the account that has the data error and then close the app.
Put your phone in airplane mode
Open the app back up
Wait for the game to say it's having internet connectivity issues
Turn airplane mode off
You can then sign out of the account.
Upon resigning into the account it will display the humbled by response message. On the next login it will then show the data error.
So yes. They are linked. It's not two different things.
