Mouse Keyboard Suddenly Stopped Working and Then Ad-Hoc Connection is Missing - [Rn] 7s^2 - Aug 14, 2016 So I was browsing HF and suddenly the mouse and the keyboard stopped functioning. The lights on my mouse and keyboard were normal but they were not working. I restarted the computer and now my mouse, keyboard, and everything is working fine. But I noticed that my ad-hoc connection which I created for accessing Wi-Fi on my phone is now missing when I click on Network icon from the tray on the right side of taskbar. * - Polymath 1.0 - Aug 15, 2016 Rather than using Window's very vulnerable native Ad Hoc networking for your PC to phone/other devices hotspot sharing use the far more secure and flexible Connectify www.connectify.me (PAID) or any of the FREE equivalent alternatives here http://beebom.com/connectify-alternatives/ to perform the function. Rather than a problem consider your ad hoc hiccup a blessing that lead to a better system solution to MS's poor system 🙂 Take care * - [Rn] 7s^2 - Aug 17, 2016 But even that will require the PCI 802.11 Wireless Express Card, right? That itself is missing from the Device Manager. Would it still work? |
