NSA Malware Leak - Opportunity or Crisis? - Dude why?? Lol - Aug 17, 2016
The NSA Malware leak has been in the news for days.
Most news reports tell us that a hacker group called Shadow Brokers stole the files from The Equation Group which was affiliated with NSA.
This question has never been asked but, what do you guys think?
Opportunity - Computer Engineers reverse engineering it and submitting it to antivirus companies for improved software for privacy of people
Or
Crisis - Shadow Brokers still have many files encrypted and they only have given us a preview. Price of the decryption passphrase is 1Mil BTC. This might give a rise of a big cyberwarfare. Many terrorist outfits and Governments will aim to get this.
What is your view on this?

Opportunity, however some of this stuff is outdated and still not detected by any antiviruses, so I believe they were being paid off. The reverse engineering part is good though to get a better idea of what kind of stuff they do there.
