Spotify is basically piracy. If you care about the musicians you listen to, buy their music and/or go their shows. Major label people make almost nothing on album sales, but do well on merch and tickets. Indies do well on everything.

You think that Taylor Swift is making so much more now that she isn't on Spotify? Good one. They make enough money as it is for singing songs they don't even write the lyrics to.
