Akatsuki no Yona - Aura - Aug 21, 2016

Quote:Princess Yona lives a life of luxury and ease, completely sheltered from the problems of the seemingly peaceful Kingdom of Kouka; however, the sudden murder of the king and betrayal of her beloved cousin Su-won places Yona's life in mortal peril. Forced to escape only with Son Hak, who is both her childhood friend and bodyguard, the naïve princess soon discovers that Kouka is not the idyllic place she envisioned it to be. Poverty, strife, and corruption run rampant, making reclaiming the throne nothing more than a wishful fantasy given the kingdom's current state.

Based on the popular manga of the same name by Mizuho Kusanagi, Akatsuki no Yona follows Princess Yona on a coming-of-age adventure as she faces the harsh realities of her kingdom. With only a mysterious legend to guide her, Yona must discover a way to restore Kouka to its former glory while being pursued relentlessly by the forces of the new King of Kouka.

Been on a my PTW since Day 1 but never got around watching it. Now that I'm skimming through it to find shows I added a long time ago and never watched, I thought I would give it a try. The opening is something else though, never seen one like that.

Added. Thanks OP, looks like a decent watch, the reviews for it have all been generally positive and the animation looks well done, will give it a go.

This one has also been on my watch list, and from what I seen it seems to have both popularity and good reviews. I was actually planning to watch it after I finish the few anime that I'm currently watching.

Seems nice plot, I'll add this to my watch list :D

everybody has their own choices and preferences and mine for this anime is :

Anybody who likes this piece of shit anime has bad taste and nothing else. i wonder why they made so many episodes for this time waster.

The second opening is amazing. I loved the anime but the fact that it ends incomplete is disappointing (especially because I'm not the type to read mangas)

Really wanted to watch this anime, but the reverse harem has put me off. I've been in the mood for a "medieval" times type of anime so will probs get back to this.

* - Aura - Aug 24, 2016

I want that fucking squirrel.

* - skelly76 - Aug 24, 2016

I watched the first ep and stopped to continue later lol. Seems decent though we'll see.

* - Aura - Aug 24, 2016

Also, how are we supposed to hate the bad guys in that show, I fail to see it.

Okay, that squirrel is WAY too fucking distracting.

It gets better later on, after episode 3? is when it got decent for me.
After they stop bitching about her crush on the blonde guy, it gets awesome.
