Got access to /../../.passwd - GDFolksBos6 - Aug 23, 2016

So I don't want to say the website for personal reasons but I got access to some information

from the //////////////////////////////////.passwd

I see information like

annohe:sa.........
uki:y....b....

I censored some of the information but what do I do some from here they are clearly username and password but doesn't work in the login ?

I am still learning can someone help instead of calling me a script kiddie or some shit.

I assume its /e.t.c/ passwd you talk about.

The /e.t.c/ passwd does not contain any passwords. It contains username, home folder and if it got shell access or not.
The passwords are located in /etc/shadow, which is only readable by root ( which is the highest administrator in linux ).

(remove the . in e.t.c )

It's a file on the root folder?

Does pwd give you //.passwd?

You wrote /../../ - Notice the periods - are those just non important directories or what?

it's not /../../

If those logins don't work maybe they are accounts for something else or maybe they are salted or something. Not really sure. Maybe PM me the contents of the file (or post) and I might be able to help. You haven't told us what site they are for so we can't really go and use them effectively
