Genres: Slice of Life
Studio: Production I.G
Air Dates: Jul 8, 2011 to Sep 16, 2011
Season(s): 1
Episodes: 11

Quote:Daikichi Kawachi is a 30-year-old bachelor working a respectable job but otherwise wandering aimlessly through life. When his grandfather suddenly passes away, he returns to the family home to pay his respects. Upon arriving at the house, he meets a mysterious young girl named Rin who, to Daikichi’s astonishment, is his grandfather's illegitimate daughter!

The shy and unapproachable girl is deemed an embarrassment to the family, and finds herself ostracized by her father's relatives, all of them refusing to take care of her in the wake of his death. Daikichi, angered by their coldness towards Rin, announces that he will take her in—despite the fact that he is a young, single man with no prior childcare experience.

Usagi Drop is the story of Daikichi's journey through fatherhood as he raises Rin with his gentle and affectionate nature, as well as an exploration of the warmth and interdependence that are at the heart of a happy, close-knit family.

Very interesting, I don't think I've seen any anime that's based itself around this premise. Sounds like a good watch, added to my MAL. Thanks OP ;)

Such a sweet ride it was watching this one, i loved every character at the end, no complaints.

UsagI drop was one of my favorites it's so relaxing and chill. If you want another similar show about a single father raising a kid this season there is sweetness and lightning. It's really good and cute the only drawbacks is it is more focused on food but it's also like usagI drop at times showing parts of the little girls life and shit.

Also salaryman kintaro is bad ass it's like GTO or similar bUT with a baby. The guy is or was the head of a biker gang I believe? And he retires to be a businessman/suit and tie kind of guy because he has a kid/is a single dad.

Just don't read the manga, it will take your 10 to a 1.

Don't get me started.

In my top 5 anime of all time.

Currently watching Barakamon, it's the same style just slice of slice that can make you smile when you had a shitty day and give you faith in humanity when you have none for obvious reasons.

One of my top 3 Slice Of Life animes, absolutely adored it.
