C\C++ programming or Windows programming? - hack3rcon - Aug 27, 2016

Hello.
I like to use C\C++ for coding malicious program and I like to learn some techniques like create processes, Inject my program to files and... But can I find any C\C++ book that explain these techniques or I must find a book about Windows programming?

Thank you.

If you want to write Windows malware, you'll be working with the Windows API (and, for real malware, most definitely the NTAPI). These are both C so you may as well learn C and then learn Windows programming specifically (there's a book that people consider out-of-date now but is still relatively relevant - "Rootkits: Subverting the Kernel" - here: http://www.lcis.com.tw/paper_store/paper_store/2014712162226539T-201412413820296.pdf). There's LOTs of books for Windows programming, just do some googling.

Some basic resources:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ff818516(v=vs.85).aspx - often just googling a Windows API function name will bring up the MSDN page for it (which, using navigation, can lead back to this link)
https://undocumented.ntinternals.net/ - the documentation is relatively minimal and assumes you're not a moron.

I've kept this relatively brief since 90% of programming is intuition.
