Hello there,
we at riptide have decided to take in students, people who want to learn, people with aspiration and a hunger for creation.
Do you want to learn?
Do you want to create?
Do you want to draw?
Are you artistic?
Do you have the time?
And are you interested in having me as your teacher?
Well, then you came to the right place, so let's get to the meat of the application!
I want you, no matter who you are, no matter your status or post count, no matter reputation, with interest for art, you are qualified.
I don't care what your level is. - We are going to start on a low level, if necessairy.
I will be focusing on drawing, lineart, illustrations, and some basics here and there, basically, whatever you want to learn!
So now, I want you to create a piece, you have 1 hour, give it your best shot, I trust you to only use 1 hour.
You can throw it in this thread, or you can simply send it to me in a PM, if you are a shy kind of person.

Why not give it a shot? To you it might not seem creative, because you thought it up, but to anyone else it might :)

I'd also teach some people, more musical stuff because my GFX skills aren't very good, but I've been a bit strapped for time recently, maybe in the next month or so. Maybe then I'll start something like this too.
But to everyone reading, this is a fantastic opportunity! A lot of the people in the group are great artists and are overall super friendly people. If you're interested at all, take the leap!

Why do I want to learn? I want to be able to make HQ and visually appealing gfx as a hobby and show off my creative side while in an stressful environment. I also want to eventually be able to fill up my future house with my own artwork and I want to be able to get to the point where I no longer have to use tutorials lol
Inspiration: Usually just cool and vibrant paintings/gfx that I come across online/in person. There have been many photographer showcases that I've gone to where I wanted to create something similar, but can't because I can't travel to those locations.
Do you understand that this might need a good amount of dedication? Yes, I understand that this isn't going to be something that happens overnight and I plan on improving my skills over the years.

Why do I want to learn?
I know that I'm not as good as I can be. I want to be in an environment where I, myself can learn and grow as can others. My goal is to improve as much as possible, as well as help as much as I can. I also want to expand on my art to stuff other than digital.
Inspiration (can be people, or pictures, drawings etc. - can include more than one)
I'm a big fan of Takashi Murakami and Angelo Baque.
Do you understand that this might need a good amount of dedication?
Of course, I am willing to dedicate the time that I have away from school and work.

No, you can't used recent work, you have to make a piece of work within 1 hour, no old work will do. ^^

Unfortunately, I am an idiot when it comes to both coding and music, since I seem to currently be the only teacher, I can't really help you. I can help you with the sprites etc. if you are interested ^^
