You can't resolve skypes anyways.

Resolving isn't possible anymore but there's shit like skype deob to still get ips. I don't know how to prevent that

Yup, Skype resolvers don't work anymore. There is still a way but it only works if the person trying to resolve you has you added and speaks to you frequently. If you're concerned you could use a VPN.

Could always just run through a proxy or add tor to it?

You can't. People can use wireshark or tcpdump to capture your IP.

Best just use a VPN.

Update your Skype. They enabled the "P2P with contacts only" option by default, which has been there for years. That'll stop any resolver from working.

Still possible to resolve people when they're on your contact list. Just don't accept any random requests to stop that.

Only share your skype with people you trust man

First of all, Skype resolvers used Skype DEOB to get IP addresses. To avoid web based skype resolvers, all one had to do in the pass was "Enable direct connections to contacts only". This would stop web based skype resolvers from working because they aren't contacts with the people you are trying to resolve.

Wireshark/Skype DEOB are both handy when it comes to finding IPs from skype contacts however it's best you use web.skype.com to avoid your contacts resolving you. Also you can use apps like tunnelbear for a free vpn and add it onto your browser. For example, if you use firefox - install chrome and use web.skype.com+browser proxy so you can browse normally on firefox.
