[Solved] Computer feels a bit slow after installing new GPU - DestinationSer - Sep 12, 2016

Hello! I feel like the computer is a bit slower after installing my new graphics card.
Dunno if its because of my remaining space on my SSD? My windows is on my SSD and i install my huge games there, even tho i should install them on my 2 tb drive.
I went from a gtx 970 strix to the 1070 strix

I should note, playing games etc is just fine. I get wayyy more fps on my games than i did with my 970, and its very pleasent.

Specs:
GPU: Asus gtx 1070 ROG Strix
CPU: i7-5820k 3.3 ghz
Ram: 16 gb ddr4
Motherboard: Asus X99-A
PSU: 750w powersupply

Space left on SSD, HDD:
SSD: 73 gb out of 250 gb
HDD: 1.73tb out of 2 tb

@Solved!
Just had to do a fresh reinstallation of my drivers. I picked the express option on nvidia at first, now I did a clean install.

When you installed the new nvidia drivers did you check off "clean install"?

Also run CCleaner disk clean up followed by their registry cleaner/repair.

No, my customer service told me not to haha. Should i reinstall the drivers with clean install?
(Aka custom settings, not express)?

I personally always do custom installation and always do clean install.

I also don't install Geforce Experience and some other ones, I actually need to do an update and I can show you what I install shortly.

But also do the CCleaner stuff I mentioned.

When I installed my new GPU a couple weeks back, I had some issues at first too. Download DDU and give it a go, use all recommended settings (go into safe mode etc).
