The money doesn't bring happiness quote is true to a certain extent, but money does bring me happiness as it brings an easy way of life to which you don't have to worry about your financial situation and live pay check to pay check.

Well there was a study done on this, and yes money does in fact make you happy up untill a certain
amount where more doesn't make you any happier.
You are happy up untill you have like $10, after that more won't make the average person happier.
And as always, whether money makes you happy or not purely depends on the person itself.

The fact that I'm able to get all the shit I want, pay my own bills, stay feed as well as treat my friend to meals, and have no excuse when it comes to birthday gifts, makes me a happy man. So yeah, to some extent, money's pretty neat.

I think there's a limit to how much money. When you have crazy amount of money that's when all the fake people appear in your life. Then you think to yourself. X person wouldn't have liked or known you without your money. People will tend to use you or ask for favours etc.
This is a big reason why a lot of rich people hate being rich.
