CrypticVPN works fine, just add Hackforums.net into the Route setting :)

Most VPN providers are blocked from accessing HF.
However you can choose to use a VPN, and route your connection for HF specifically.

You can do it manually via CMD or use this tool https://github.com/ThatMadGuy/Route-Manager/releases

What does 'Adding to route' do?

Routes your connection to HF through your own internet connection instead of the VPN connection.

How would I do this on a Debian OS?

Do what? And on your own computer or a server?

Code
@echo off
cls
:START
route add 104.23.132.82 192.168.0.1
route add 104.23.128.83 192.168.0.1
goto START

Batch file, will add HF to your routing, just drop it in your startup, and you'll never have to worry about it, unless CF changes HF's IPs.
You can remove the :START and gtoto START
I was just having issues without it there.

Replace 192.168.0.1 with your gateway....

Honestly, I did not even know there was a workaround to that problem. You have my sincerest thanks!

Route Add IP GATEWAY

Lets any connections from that specific IP flow directly to your gateway,
So if you on a VPN, for example, any requests to or from that IP you set, will ignore the VPN, and get your real IP anyways.
Useful for sites that block VPN access.

No worries man!
Enjoy being able to stay on your VPN.

Should also mention, I believe that command has to be run in a prompt with elevated access, so run CMD as Admin...

ya there are many vpns that actually work for hf....but it won't affect you if you're still logged in cause of your cookies saving your info so even at a new IP/location it really won't show as a new log in....but your post do show a different ip but it'll be obvs that it's a vpn for a staff/omni but regardless I rarely have seen kids get banned over using vpns or being mistaken as a multi very rare

It's not that the VPN's don't work for HF, but HF blocks the VPNs...
They have a system for determining if your IP is from a VPN or not.

IIRC/from what I last remember, HF doesn't disallow VPN's altogether, however most of the common ones have been blocked in order to help fight against ban evasions, etc.

We recommend you take the time to read the HF Help Documents section. The answer to your questions should be contained in there.

Easiest way use a socks5 through firefox browser
